Woman’s Hand Run Over in Bus Accident

April 15, 2012 - According to reports a woman lost her hand in a weekend bus accident.
According to San Diego Police Department Officer David Stafford, the accident occurred at approximately 8:50 p.m. Saturday night at Fifth Avenue and Upas Street in San Diego.

Officer Stafford said the bus accident occurred when a woman identified to be in her 40’s was running to catch an MTS bus, when she tripped and fell. The woman fell to the ground when she tripped and the MTS bus ran over her hand, authorities said.

Officer Stafford said the woman was transported to a local trauma center, with serious injuries to her hand.

At Least 6 Critically Injured At Metro Bus Stop When Struck During a Car Crash

February 22, 2012 - According to reports at least six people were injured when during a car crash at a Metro bus stop.

According to authorities the bus accident occurred at approximately 3:30 p.m. in critically injuring six people at the Metro Silver Line platform.

Authorities said the crash occurred when a car traveling northbound next to the 110 Freeway in Los Angeles entered the bus lane.

The car struck the people waiting at the South Los Angeles Metro Silver Line platform.

Authorities said that six people were critically injured in the crash.

School Bus Driver Arrested for Allegedly Molesting Children

December 22, 2011 - According to reports a school bus driver has been arrested for allegedly molesting children in Laguna Hills.

According to the Orange County’s Sheriff’s Department the school bus driver identified as Norman Crawford age 37 was arrested and taken into custody on suspicion of lewd and lascivious acts against three children. The children were believed to have been molested inside of Crawford’s apartment in Laguna Hills, according to Orange County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Jim Amormino. Crawford’s apartment is in the 2500 block of Stockport Street and he took the children there after earning their parents trust.

Amormino stated that two of the children were under the age of 14 and the third child was three years old. One of the children’s grandmothers went to authorities and Crawford was arrested and booked in the county jail on Wednesday, after the child told her. The children that were allegedly molested under the age of 14 are identified as a boy and girl.


Crawford who is being held at the Theo Lacy Jail on $100,000 bail has been a bus driver for 12 for the First Student Transportation Services and drove bus for several schools in Orange County, according to Amormino. Crawford is expected to appear in court on Friday.

Woman Struck and Killed in Anaheim While Trying to Catch a Bus

December 2, 2011 - Here is a new case of potential pure comparative negligence in California. According to reports a woman was struck and killed in Anaheim, while trying to catch a bus. According to Anaheim Police Sgt. Bob Dunn the Anaheim Police Department received reports of a traffic accident prior to 6:00 a.m.

The woman that was struck was found by Anaheim police in the westbound lanes of Katella Boulevard in the vicinity of Harbor Boulevard intersection. The Orange County Coroner’s Office has identified the woman as Denley Angeles age 18.

Angeles was transported to the UCI Medical Center in Orange, where she died at approximately 8:00 a.m. after being struck by a Toyota Camry. The driver of the Camry remained at the scene of the crash and spoke with police, Sgt. Dunn said.

According to Sgt. Dunn, police believe that Angeles had gotten off of a bus and was attempting to cross the street to catch another bus at the time she was struck. The driver was not cited and Anaheim police are investigating whether the driver or Angeles had the right of way. Young Child Injured in Fall From Moving School Bus

November 14, 2011 - According to reports a young child was injured after falling from a school bus.

According to the California Highway Patrol a 5 year old child was injured when he fell from the moving school bus in Riverside County, at approximately 3:15 p.m. on Monday afternoon.

The incident with the child being injured occurred in the vicinity of 70th Avenue and Hayes Street in Mecca. According to the California Highway Patrol they believed the 5 year old child to have major injuries.

Riverside County Fire Department paramedics stated they believed the child’s injuries to be moderate. The accident remains under investigation, according to the California Highway Patrol.
