At approximately 5:30 am a woman crossing the street in the 400 block of Los Angeles Street and close to Arcadia Street was struck and killed by a Metropolitan Transportation Authority bus as it was turning. This was according to reports of a statement by spokeswoman d’Lisa Davies of the Los Angeles City Fire Department and that the woman was pinned under the front wheel of the bus, airbags were used while the woman was pried out. The woman whose name has not been released was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
The streets are operated by a traffic light and reports say it is unknown at this time if the woman was crossing at the light. There were also several passengers at time of the accident who were uninjured.
According to reports Los Angeles Street close to Arcadia Street and the entrance and exit to the 101 Freeway were closed while several agencies investigated accident scene to figure out the reason for the woman’s death. These agencies were the L.A. County Sheriff’s Office, the Los Angeles Police Department, the Department of Transportation and the Metropolitan Transportation Authority. A similar thing happened to me recently. I am wondering who I can contact for compensation? I have looked at a few companies who specialise in coach crash incidents but I don't know who to trust.
