According to reports an accident occurred involving a prison bus in Irvine. The accident occurred at approximately 9:15 a.m. on the 133 Freeway and according to a spokesman from the sheriff’s office, Jim Amormino the accident took place in the northbound off ramp lanes, there are reports that there was moving van involved along with a bus that was transporting forty-two inmates.
It has not been made clear which vehicle was at fault but it is known that the bus struck the guardrails and there were three inmates that were moderately injured as well as the bus driver whose kneed struck the dashboard. One inmate had facial injuries and he along with the others were transported to the local hospital.
According to Amormino the bus was on its way to the James A. Musick Jail and had been coming from the Santa Ana reception center. Los Angeles bus accident lawyers are listening.
