March 26, 2010 (by Horatio Algren) According to reports one person was killed in an early morning Interstate 5 big rig crash.
According to authorities the accident occurred at approximately 4:13 a.m. Friday on Interstate 5 in the vicinity of Burena Vista Street, when a car slammed into the back of a stalled big rig.
The tractor trailer truck accident was caused when the rig broke down in one of the lanes on Interstate 5, which the vehicle described as a white sedan drove into the back of the semi. The driver of the sedan is believed to have been killed in the crash that backed southbound traffic on the 5 Freeway for miles while the scene of the accident was being investigated. Traffic was re-routed around Buena Vista through rush hour traffic.
