Twenty-Two Year Old Killed in Pomona Tour Bus Collision

May 20, 2011 - According to authorities a tour bus and car were involved in a deadly crash Thursday in Pomona.

Los Angeles Fire Department Inspector Matt Levesque stated the collision occurred in the area of North Town Avenue and East San Bernardino Avenue south of the I-10 Freeway. The crash occurred at approximately 8:33 a.m.

According to fire officials there was no one injured on the bus, and other reports stated the bus was not carrying passengers at the time of the crash.

There were two people in the passenger car, the driver identified as a woman was critically injured and a male passenger whose name has not been released was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The female driver was transported a trauma center for treatment.
